This International Day of Yoga, we’re trading the studio floor for the lush green outfield of Hadlock Field, and you’re invited to join!
On Friday, June 21st at 9:00 AM, I’ll be leading a joyful, all-levels class right on the field at Delta Dental Park, home of the Portland Sea Dogs. It’s not just a one-of-a-kind yoga experience—it’s a chance to do something good while doing something great for your body.
Yoga for a Cause: Strike Out Cancer in Kids
This class is part of the Strike Out Cancer in Kids campaign, a long-running collaboration between the Sea Dogs and the Maine Children’s Cancer Program (MCCP). A portion of every ticket supports local kids and families facing pediatric cancer—so each breath and movement is also an act of service, or in yogic terms, karma yoga.
This Class is a Whole Vibe!
-
Morning Glory: We’ll start at 9:00 AM, before the game-day hustle begins. It’s just you, the grass, and the Maine summer sun.
-
Towel, Not Mat: To protect the most pristine grass in Portland, yoga mats aren’t allowed—bring a towel, a blanket, or just enjoy the feeling of the earth beneath your feet.
-
No Audience, Just Atmosphere: The stands will be empty while we practice, so it’s just us and the field—an unusual and surprisingly serene setting.
-
️ Baseball Bonus: Your ticket includes a seat for that night’s 6:00 PM Sea Dogs game, so you can come for the yoga and stay for the hot dogs and home runs.
