The more people I talk to lately, the more I hear the same thing: the world feels… weird. Wobbly. And isn’t that just the way of it? Life rarely gives us exactly what we think we’d order off the menu.

But instead of getting caught in the storm, maybe it’s time to find a little “dancing-in-the-rain” energy!

Down some recent internet research hole, I stumbled across an article about the Morton Salt Girl—and what a great origin story she has!

We take it for granted now, but in the early 1900s salt didn’t pour when it rained—it clumped. Morton figured out a way to keep it free-flowing even in damp weather, and their ad agency dreamed up the image of a girl walking through the rain, salt spilling steadily behind her. The slogan they landed on—“When it rains, it pours.”— was a declaration of persistence, of staying fluid when life gets sticky. I love a clever ad campaign.

That Morton Salt Girl visual feels like yoga in a nutshell. Life rains. We don’t always get to stay dry. But we can learn to flow anyway.

That story stuck with me so much that I decided I wanted a new T-shirt (which i also love)—enter the new “Salty Yogi” Flow Anyway tee. She’s a reminder that grace isn’t about staying dry; it’s about discovering how to flow (or maybe even dance) through the drizzle.

And because the universe has a sense of humor, a company recently invited me to test run their new giveaway platform, Give—a tool that lets small businesses run simple T-shirt giveaways to spread a little joy (and in this case, salt). So I figured, why not test it out and share the love?!

I’m giving away a few of these Salty Yogi shirts so they can find homes with folks who might need a reminder to keep dancing in the rain. You can enter the giveaway here

It’s open to everyone in the U.S.—no purchase necessary, just good vibes and maybe an umbrella.

Wherever you are, whatever’s falling today—stay salty and flow anyway.
